Among its key advisory clients are American Gilsonite Company in Utah, USA and The Barytes Association, the global barite producer trade Association HQ in Brussels.

Since 2019, IMPACT has produced a quarterly newsletter detailing the state of the global barite trade including trade lane volumes, product and freight cost and pricing intelligence, supply constraints, demand drivers

John has a history in consulting including other industries like iron and steel, and aerospace and defense. In the late 1980’s John co-founded the Cumberland Group, a pioneering quality and productivity consultancy credited with corporate culture turnarounds at such companies as Armco Steel, US Tobacco, Pratt and Whitney, General Dynamics, and NASA Johnson Space Center.

For several years John was the chief account representative to General Dynamics’ F-16 plant in Fort Worth, Texas and to NASA Johnson Space Center where he facilitated the 1991 strategic quality planning initiative for Aaron Cohen, Center Director, and JSC’s leadership team.
